Red Tide Conditions Continue on South Padre Island

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND - Cameron County Emergency Coordination says that Red Tide is back in the water on
South Padre Island. Red Tide is caused when colonies of algae in ocean plants grow out of control. Cameron County
Emergency Coordinators says Red Tide levels for the day are low to moderate and do not pose any serious health
threat.
