Police Academy holds ceremony for graduates.

The McAllen Police Department has 16 new officers to patrol the streets and fight crime in the city.


The 38th McAllen Police Academy held a graduation ceremony on Friday morning at the convention center for new police graduates. The new officers went through extensive training involving long hours of academics and physical training. Police Chief, Victor Rodriguez is proud of the new officers and says the added force will provide a better service to the citizens of McAllen.
