Operation Lone Star Program Offers Free Medical Care

Free medical care has arrived in the Rio Grande Valley with Operation Lone Star and Na'Tassia Finley has more on what it has to offer and to whom.

The vision exam is just one of the many free medical services offered at Garcia Middle school in Brownsville this week. Both the young and old, and those in between, are taking advantage of quality care at no cost through the Operation Lone Star Program.

These days, insurance or not, going to the doctor can be costly to anyone. From vision, blood work to hearing tests and so much more, it's a one stop for your personal health. However this year, one service has been scratched from the list which was the dental service.

Operation Lone Star lasts all this week in Brownsville and at several other locations and then moves to three new sites during the weeks of August 2nd through the 6th.
