NOAA releases prediction for hurricane season.

The 2010 Hurricane season outlook by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has been released, it says this season will  be more active than last year's, with an above normal threat all along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts, Julio Olivo has more.

Federal forecasters with the NOAA announced on Thursday their predictions for the Atlantic hurricane season which starts June 1st through November 30th. They have predicted 14 to 23 hurricanes with 8 to 10 becoming major hurricanes for the season. A major factor in the predictions of the hurricanes is El Nino's strength and that La Nina's position during the hurricane season.
