Mandatory Evacuation for Los Ebanos Residents

Parking lots are already flooded from the river and some streets are beginning to look like lakes and that's why Hidalgo County Sheriff deputies are asking residents to evacuate their homes and seek shelter, Elizabeth Salinas is one of those persons who decided to evacuate.
"I don't have insurance and if it would damage I would need to start from zero. It's all emotional feelings and I can't explain."
SALINAS AND HER FAMILY HAVE SANDBAGS IN FRONT OF THEIR HOME AND THERE TRUCK IT LOADED READY FOR THEM TO HEAD TO STAY WITH FAMILY IN PALMVIEW.
"A fan things, things to wash, clothing, just a trash bags, you see a medicines."
SALINAS' HOMES IS ONLY A COUPLE BLOCKS FROM THE LOS EBANOS FERRY.
"in the background you see the ferry usually you see walk up but it's posted up and blocked off that's because the water is overflowing from the river and started it's starting to turn into a lake instead of a parking lot."
BECAUSE OF THIS FLOODING AND EXPECTED TO GET WORSE PEOPLE ALREADY INSIDE SHELTERS SET UP LIKE THIS ONE AT LA JOYA HIGH SCHOOL.
"I live by the river banks and I am afraid the water will getting it my house because it's almost already there."
RAMONA GOMEZ AND HER SEVEN FAMILIES MEMBERS INCLUDING HER GRANDCHILD ARE INSIDE THE HIGH SCHOOL GYM. GOMEZ IS GLAD TO BE SAFE BE VERY WORRIED ABOUT HER HOME.
"I worry about everything I left, the little I have."
AT THE SHELTER THE AMERICAN RED CROSS WILL PROVIDE COTS AND THREE MEALS A DAY FOR THOSE SEEKS SHELTER AS THE WATER CONTINUES TO MAKE IT'S WAY DOWNSTREAM.
