Los Fresnos Fire Fighters Fight Fire and Bees

Several fire trucks were on scene on this fire at FM 803."

The Los Fresnos fire department along with mutual aid from Brownsville were called to a fire at an abandon home filled with trash Wednesday afternoon. Seven trucks were on scene. Fire fighters are calling the suspicious.

"Could be an illegal burn? Probably, its an abandon house it looks like an illegal burn."

Fire fighters sending this message with the rough winds and dry conditions.

"Not to burn the way things are no rain for several months already."

The flames were not the only challenge for fighters. A bee hive was in a tree right where they were fighting the flames.

"How many bees where out there? 100-150."

No serious injuries were reported. The Cameron County Fire Marshall was on scene to investigate the exact cause.
