Local officials concerned about high levels of bacteria in the river.

Officials are concerned about the high levels of bacteria in the Rio Grande river between Brownsville and Matamoros, Mexico. The International Boundary and Water Commission is holding a meeting on Tuesday for lower Rio Grande citizens. It will be at the commissions office in Mercedes where environmental specialist will provide an overview of water quality in the area.
