A Cameron County Judge ruled today on the outcome of the Democratic race for the seat of Cameron County Pct 2. Commissioner. Candidate Ruben Peña, who lost the race by only 49 votes, contested the decision after what he says were illegalities in the mail-in votes. But Judge David Sanchez ruled today in favor of Hernandez saying that, although the voting proceedure had been violated and therefore some mail-in votes would be disqualified, there was not enough evidence to rule in favor of Peña or another election.
