This is the home of Carmen Flores sister, who is close to 80 year old. She lives on Hall acres road on the south end of Pharr. The entire home is covered by flood water.
Outside the water gets as deep as two feet. City workers were at the home trying to pump the water out. As we were there the truck already got full. The city of Pharr says their trucks are really filling up because they have been pumping the ditch that runs from McAllen into San Juan that's overflowing causing all this flood water.
In their bedrooms water also makes it way their along with family where their couches are.
Just down the road the owner's of Lupita's Daycare have taken Flore's sister and let her stay at their home during the flooding.
Hiram Castillo says the flooded road is also causing some inconvenience for parents dropping off their kids for daycare.
For now the city say they will continue to pump the water as fast as they can to help alleviate problems residents are facing.
