Flood Waters Recede in Certain Areas
Even though Hurricane Alex didn't strike the Rio Grande Valley, its effects were definitely felt throughout and you, the viewer, were kind in sharing your pictures with us, Michelle Macias visited some of the areas where those pictures were taken the day of the hurricane.
We received dozens of photos and still getting more of areas that were affected with heavy rain during the storm, so we visited those locations to see if the flood waters had receded. A resaca behind Faulk Middle School was inundated, but days later the water had receded rapidly. David Delgado stayed home during the hurricane and mentioned that the parking lot was completely flooded causing the dumpster to flip over, but today all that water was gone.
