City officials hold luncheon for its eldest residents.

 The City of Brownsville recognized more than 100 of its residents on Thursday and all of them over the age of 90 years. The city proclaimed "National Older Americans Day" during an honorary luncheon at the Brownsville Events Center. The eldest resident, Cecilia Sanchez, is 105 years-old and says credits her long life in living simple. This is the 10th year the City of Brownsville has held the event for its oldest residents.
