Brownsville Police Chase

A routine traffic stop lead police on a chase through city streets, then a foot pursuit that ended in a resaca with the man in cuffs.
News Center 23 was the only news crew out on scene as police chased a man around the city of Brownsville after finding out he was in a stolen vehicle.
It happened just after after 2pm Monday. 15 Brownsville police patrol cars all involved in the search for a man who ended up jumping into a resaca. Police say it started at Austin street when they tried pulling over this F-150 for a traffic infraction. But, the driver not only didn't pull over, he led police on a vehicle pursuit. Then, the Brownsville man jumped out of the truck jumping into the resaca near the intersection of Robindale and Sol road. After several patrolmen and firefighters surrounded him he came out of the water willingly.
He was put in this patrol car, soaking wet and shirtless and was arrested.
Police say the driver was in was a stolen F-150 from Houston.
