Brothers charged with assault on police officers.

Two brothers are behind bars in Brownsville after assaulting officers in a family disturbance call.

Police responded the call of a family disturbance in which Abraham Figueroa threatened his sister with a brick for allegedly hiding his cigarettes from him. When officers tried to arrest Abraham, his brother Adrian Figueroa prevented the officer from handcuffing Abraham. Another officer got involved in the scuffle and pepper sprayed Adrian, who then bit a officers hand.  Abraham Figueroa is facing several charges including aggravated assault with a  deadly weapon, aggravated assault on a peace officer and resisting arrest. His bond was set at $160,000 dollars. Adrian Figueroa was charged with interfering with duties of a public servant, evading arrest on foot and resisting arrest with his bond set at $12,000 dollars.
