Border Security Bill in Benefit Valley.
The Border Security Supplemental Bill passed in Congress on Tuesday and is going back to the Senate for a second approval prior to President Obama signing it.
The bill will provide $600 million dollars to border states to strenghten security and hopefully prevent any violence in Mexico spilling over the Southwest border. The funding includes $300 million dollars for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the hiring fo more Border Patrol agents, CBP officers at various ports of entries adn for equipment and technology that will improve tatcial communications. It also provides $80 million dollars for immigration and Customs enforcement and nearly $200 million dollars for the Department of Justice.
