VALLEY FORECAST: Tuesday will be partly to occasionally mostly cloudy with a few drops of rain here or there. The East winds will range from 5-20 mph. Highs will be 96 in the Lower Valley, 102 in the Upper.
As of late Friday evening, a tropical convective air mass was positioned just east of the Dominican Republic. Friday night that air mass had an 90% chance of developing into a tropical cyclone within the following 48 hours.
Even though it's been a quiet hurricane season so far, it's not time to breathe easy just yet.
That's the message from insurance agents and the National Weather Service for valley residents during hurricane season.
