Helicopter helps Border Patrol to drug bust in Starr County
MCALLEN, TEXAS - Since the start of December 20 million Dollars worth of marijuana have been seized by US Border Patrol agents from the Rio Grande Valley sector.
The largest capture happened Wednesday at the McAllen Station. Agents spotted a marijuana laden Chevrolet Tahoe traveling away from the Rio Grande. A helicopter followed the vehicle to a stash house.
Two people were arrested with more than 3,000 pounds of marijuana. Additional seizures pushed the total amount of marijuana confiscated in the first week of December to nearly 26,000 pounds.
