Brownsville Heritage Complex Get Directions
The Brownsville Historical Association announces their Summer Camps for 2010! The July weekly camp is the Taste of Texas Cooking Camp. This camp is geared towards teens and adults and the participants will be able to enjoy the fruits of their labors. The camp begins at 10:00am and will go to 1:00pm. The schedule of events are:
July 2: Appetizer: Pan de Campo
Kicking off the camp will be Pan de Campo, the state bread of Texas!
July 16: Side Dish: Baked Squash and Corn
Bring some color to your picnic with this tasty Tex-Mex inspired side dish!
July 23: Main Dish: Chili Spaghetti
Looking for a quick and taste Texas meal? Look no further than this Texas twist on an Italian favorite!
July 30: Dessert: Little Crackle Top Ginger Snaps
We finish the Taste of Texas Cooking Camp with a little ol’ fashioned dessert!
Each camp session is $20.00 for non-members and $15.00 for members. Campers who sign up for all four sessions will save $10.00! All camp sessions will be held at the Brownsville Heritage Complex.
