RALLY FOR YOUR LOCAL SOCIAL SECURITY EMPLOYEES

AFGE RALLY FOR FEDERAL EMPLOYEES Get Directions
The Congressional Super Committee will be making many decisions that will impact Social Security benefits, SSA’s operating budget and federal employee benefits.
Just the last year, SSA closed contact stations, offices and changed office hours. SSA has lost 3500 SSA workers and DDS employees. Without sufficient funding, this may only get worse. If Congress enacts an across the board cuts to the government’s budget, SSA has confirmed with AFGE that furloughs will not be avoidable.
Because the stakes are so high, for so many, AFGE has joined with Social Security Works and the Alliance for Retired Americans to make our concerns known to the public and to Congress.
On October 27th, during your lunch period, please join AFGE in an information picket at your Social Security office.
