RIO GRANDE VALLEY, TX (Feb. 11, 2011) -- IDEA Public Schools is hiring teachers for the 2011-2012 school year and will host a Teacher Recruitment Event on Thursday, February 24th, from 5 – 8 p.m. at the McAllen Convention Center. Teachers will have an opportunity to meet school leaders from all 10 IDEA campuses and hear Founder & CEO Tom Torkelson give an address at 6 p.m.
Every year, IDEA Public Schools increases its impact by building more schools, serving more students and recruiting the best teachers.
“We are looking for teachers and school leaders with a proven record of student achievement to become a part of the movement that is revolutionizing education,” said Tom Torkelson, IDEA Public Schools Founder & CEO. “Teachers have the incredible opportunity to not only change students’ lives, but also to transform an entire community from one generation to the next.”
IDEA Public Schools is 20 schools and over 9,000 students strong. The IDEA mission and goals apply to 100 percent of the students, 100 percent of the time. IDEA is looking for teachers who share those values and that vision. “Creating opportunities isn’t easy. It requires people who give their best every day,” says Torkelson.
