The Indian Lake Police Department and the Department of Homeland Security Detention & Removal Operations /Immigration Custom Enforcement Agency are co-sponsoring a FREE Weapons of Mass Destruction Tactical Operation Training. We would like to invite all federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to participate in a FREE WMD Tactical Operation (PR221) training course schedule for March 15, 2010 thru March 19, 2010. The WMD training course will accommodate 30 law enforcement officers.
We would like to encourage all federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to participate in the WMD training course and each agency will be given up to 6 training slots. If your agency is interested in participating in the Weapons of Mass Destruction training course you will need to contact Training Coordinator Luis Lopez.
Overview
The goal of this course is to provide law enforcement tactical team personnel with the knowledge, skills and abilities to safely and effectively perform tactical mission responsibilities in WMD and hazardous material environments.
Scope
This course is designed to address technical aspects associated with a tactical law enforcement response to a CBRNE device or hazardous materials incident. As such, it provides both detailed technical information and hands-on application of actions required for the safe and effective conduct of tactical operations in CBRNE environments. The course consists of 13 modules taught through a combination of classroom sessions and comprehensive practical exercises.
Target Audience
This course is designed to provide state and local law enforcement tactical team personnel with knowledge, skills, and abilities to conduct tactical operations in WMD and hazardous environments.
Prerequisites
All course participants will be sworn members of a federal, state or local law enforcement agency.
Course Length
Instruction time is approximately 40 to 50 hours over the five-day period. The participants will be present for approximately 8-10 hours each day: 30 minutes for medical personnel to take baseline vitals, four hours of instruction, one hour for meals and any required travel, four hours of instruction, and 30 minutes for medical personnel to take post practical exercise vitals. For days one, three, four, and five, scheduling of meals and travel time will be determined by the location or type of facilities provided by the Host Agency and the participant’s response to the exercise scenarios.
TCLOSE Certified
This course satisfies the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Performance Level training requirements. The NCBRT is an affiliate of Louisianan State University which authorizes the Continuing Education Unit (CEU) standards. All NCBRT courses meet or exceed state training academy and/or state and national minimum training standards for Continue Education Units.
