Hidalgo County, TX (NEWS CENTER 23) — The son of Edinburg CISD Trustee David Torres is facing theft charges in connection to stolen boat parts.  San Juan Police arrested David Torres JR on Tuesday night at the home of his father on the 3900 block of Schunior Street in northern Edinburg.

On Tuesday officers  executed a search warrant for the stolen property at the home.
On Wednesday a judge formally charged him with one count of theft, his bond is set for 10-thousand dollars.
