Jeremy Rendon is behind bars today after his involvement in a car burglary that happened in Brownsville early Monday morning.
“He had taken a Sony disc player and an amplifier,” says Eddie Garcia of the Brownsville Police Department.
The 19-year-old Rendon was picked up by officers shortly after the burglary. During the arrest police discovered Rendon was also responsible for another car burglary that had been reported early that day.
Rendon led officers to a backpack which he had stolen from a 1985 GMC Ford truck.
“He had hidden a backpack which was located nearby,” says Garcia. “In the backpack there were some sunglasses and bracelets.”
All property was returned to the rightful owner. Rendon was charged with two counts of burglary of a motor vehicle and his bond was set at $2,000.
